Knots & Rackets

************************************
I was supposed to work OT @111 today...and got there fine...but then the Lt. had to call and tell me that due to such and such circumstances...there was an extra floater...and since I was the only one working OT...I needed to go home. Blah! So I took my car full of Wal-Mart returns and headed to Simpsonville. It was nice to actually get those taken care of. And I got to take care of some other business errands...during actual daylight hours. :-D
I met Holli for lunch at Ryan's. Then I drove through a few car lots...nothing promising. Okay, so after the cars, I gave Shadow a very thorough brushing/combing. I think I am going to get her hair trimmed again. I like it long...but it takes a lot more grooming to keep it nice that way...and she doesn't like having the knots combed out. :-) Besides she gets them again right after I comb her out! Like just now after I got back from tennis...she already has 2 new ones behind her ear/on her neck! Arughhh! Plus, when I let her out in the yard, she likes to roll around in the left over leaves...and that makes a mess of her longer hair. Oh well...at least it grows fast. :-)
Tennis is...well, lets just say "interesting"! I am not very good at it...and the instructor was getting rather frustrated with us tonight, I think...sometimes I think he forgets that we are a beginning tennis class...that means we know nothing! :-) One thing I did learn tonight...I need a lighter tennis racket. I have been frustrated b/c I just can't seem to get some of the stuff he says we are to be doing...and my wrist hurts every class. So I asked him about that...and apparently there are different size handles (circumference) and different weights of tennis rackets. Well, the one I was borrowing has a handle that is too small for me (apparently I have large hands) and is too heavy. It was wobbly and cumbersome even when the instructor tried to use mine...so I don't feel 100% incompetent...just 98%. :-D
