Wow...Sorry it has been a while
Well, it has been a good while since I have had time to post anything on this site. I am doing fine, just been busy with other things and spending enough time on the computer as it is. :-) Funny how we used to get along fine without these computers, only a few years ago. I remember the "hallowed" Texas Instrument that we had in one corner of the classroom in Junior High. If you were diligent and got your school work done early, you could ask the teacher for permission to go play a game on it. I can't even remember what 1 game we had for it...but it was pretty "special". Then our neighbor kids "inherited" a C64 from their uncle...WOW!!! that was impressive stuff!!! :-) Anyway, a lot has changed in the world of technology!
Shadow is her lovely little energetic self! I think I am going to get her hair cut again. I like her "fluffy" but it is hot for her and her hair is long enough right now that she gets it tangled up again within hours of my combing it out! Ugh! I was hoping to get a little brother for her to play with. We came across a situation at work with a little boy doggie who might be going to need a home. I wanted to just take him with me...but we have to "follow the rules" and let animal control do their thing, and then let the Humane Society do their thing, and then hope that we can still find poor Scruffy and adopt him. I went by the Humane Society and left my name and phone number...the first few people were less than helpful, but eventually did let us leave a name and number. I think I will go back there later this week to see if Scruffy is there yet. I sure hope he is. He was a cute little guy and very friendly. I have been thinking about getting another dog and he met a lot of the description I had been thinking about.
Work has been pretty routine lately, which can be good. I had a streak of "attempting to die" patients for a while and am glad for the break. Tomorrow I have USAR training all day. We have our ORE and it promises to be a long day!
John and Maria buried little Jeremiah last week. You can see photos and view their post here.
Hmm, what else is new? Oh, my tomato plants are doing quite well! As a matter of fact, they are taking over the sidewalk! Oops! They are definitely vines! My parsley decided to grow, so hopefully I can use some of that soon.
We had some rather stormy weather this past weekend. It started out here with hail! Pretty incredible.
...Well, I was going to post photos from the storm, as well as a few other things...however, the slowness of my computer, my current state of sleepiness, as well as the busy schedule for tomorrow will not allow me to do that. So, I will post this much for now and try to update again, before next year. :-)
