Biscuits and other things

Well, this morning I tried something new...being a southerner by birth, I love biscuits...yet finding a way to enjoy these tasty treats is somewhat difficult as a single person. If I make a batch of biscuits, most of them go bad before I can eat them...besides...stale biscuits are rather tastless no matter how much molasses you put on them! Anyway, I found Pillsbury's Perfect Portions in the refrigerated section of Wal-Mart last night and decided to give them a try. (Now I also do NOT like canned biscuits, so you can see my quandary...) So these biscuits are packaged by twos and actually looks slightly more like biscuits than the canned ones do. I baked two of them, and have to admit they were not that bad...I think I will actually buy them again. They were a little on the "empty air" side texture wise, but taste wise weren't too bad!

I had several errands to run today, including mailing multiple packages from the Post Office. I decided to go to a different Post Office than I normally do, and was pleasantly surprised at the lack of line. So, I got my packages all mailed in short order. From there I headed to Wal-Mart (a different one than last night!) and picked up the photos Tanya and I had made the last week she was here. They didn't turn out too badly. Maybe I can get some scanned and posted in the next few days.

After my errands I tried to take a nap, since I have to work tonight. But of course I couldn't fall asleep very well. Shadow on the other hand has adapted to my lifestyle very well...too well I think at times. :-) She was sound asleep and snoring within minutes. :-) Ha, ha...that kept me awake for a while...then she must have been having a nightmare because she started snorting, and growling and whimpering...poor baby! It really is humorous!

I recently found a place where I think I can upload videos, so will try to get some of her uploaded. :-)

Well, I believe I will meander over to Post 9. We are meeting for supper and I need to pick up some supplies from their truck.

Lynetta comes tomorrow...should be fun.
